Have an idea for a course?

The submission window for 2021 has closed. We hope to repeat this initiative next year, so please stay tuned!

Do you have an idea for a course that you would like to see at Penn State? The Office for General Education is now accepting student ideas that could be turned into a course that satisfies general education credits.

Students are asked to fill out this short form and submit their ideas by Sept. 30. General Education will then work with faculty to develop courses from selected ideas, and the submitting students will have the option of working with faculty during the process. Student participation in the development phase is not mandatory.

Students are encouraged to search the University Bulletin to make sure there isn’t already a similar course.

The Office for General Education is part of the Office of Undergraduate Education, the academic and administrative unit that provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs and initiatives in support of undergraduate teaching and learning at Penn State.
