The Office for General Education is seeking applications for Faculty Scholars. The General Education Faculty Scholars will build the capacity of faculty to use educational change initiatives to advance greater intentionality in curricular and course design, learning outcomes and assessment, and high-impact teaching and learning practices in general education. There are sixteen General Education Faculty Scholars representing the various campuses, colleges, and General Education areas at Penn State. Scholars are compensated with summer supplemental pay and typically will serve three year terms.
The program started two years ago as the General Education Faculty Fellows and last year transitioned to an application-based process. Many members from last year will remain, but one new member is sought. Applications are sought from faculty to represent University College from the south-central and southeastern regions of the state (Mont Alto, York, Brandywine). Applications are due October 1, 2018, and require a letter of support from your academic administrator.
